What If My Situation Is Complicated?
Can I Still Place My Baby Up for Adoption If…?”
The adoption specialists at Adoption Advocates have years of experience and have seen all different types of situations. You may have a particular issue that you’re concerned about or feel is a huge obstacle – but rest assured, our counselors have probably already helped someone in a similar situation. We won’t judge you, and we will be able to help you as well. If we haven’t had your particular situation, we will draw from our considerable experience and figure it out together!
Here are just some of the issues women have come to us with:
- I don’t know who the baby’s father is.
- I’ve used drugs or alcohol during my pregnancy.
- I’m married, but the baby is not my husband’s.
- I am in an abusive relationship and concerned for my baby’s safety.
- I’m not a legal citizen of the United States.
- I’m transgender.
- I’ve been diagnosed with a mental health disorder.
- My pregnancy is the result of a sexual assault.
No matter what your concern, we encourage you to reach out and talk to us. We will be able to help you figure out your options and, if you choose adoption, find a loving home for your baby.
